Contemporary Dance is a combined form that uses instrumental and vocal music that allows the student to explore technique and free movement helping to build a more diverse dancer. Students will learn a range of movement and ideas from floor exercises to barre and centre work.
Students learn to become more creative within their own choreography as they progress higher up the grades as well as preparing for improvisation and the ability to learn and pick up choreography and steps quickly.
The Contemporary Examinations start from Grade 1 with the candidate entering age of 8 years. Therefore the classes are aimed at children aged 7 and above.
