Following the graded syllabus for the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) Ballet examinations, children from the age of 4 are taught the creativity and technique of ballet discipline with the opportunity to enter for graded exams annually. The syllabus teaches exercises that help to develop the strength and understanding for the dance form as well as teaching the student musicality, performance and the classical art form of Mime.
Along side the graded examinations the students will also be offered the chance to enter for Medal Tests and Rainbow Awards (4-8yrs). These are performance exams in which the participant performs a sequence of technical exercises and dances in costumes; Medal tests and Rainbow Awards are an additional examination on top of the graded syllabus and cannot be taken instead of the graded ballet examination.
